1. My heel got caught again on the grill as I exited the elevator today. I've included a picture so that you may see the impending danger that I face nearly every day. As you will notice, it looks like every elevator. Today, however, when I got stuck, three guys were waiting there watching my face flush with embarrassment as I intensely maneuvered my ankle to freedom. There is always this slight feeling of panic, even though, I know I only have to slip my foot out of the shoe so as not to get pressed between the steel doors. But the question of, "What will I do with only one shoe?" seems to cross my mind.2. There is a man that works here in the building named Vladamir. He is about 5 feet 2 inches tall. I tower above him, especially in heels. I see him every morning because he is usually sweeping leaves in the parking lot from the slow approaching winter. We always talk for a few minutes, but it is cut short because I'm usually running a few minutes behind and racing the clock. I probably see him about 5 times throughout the day in the hallway on my way to check the mail or other tasks. His smile is so genuine and warming to me. He loves what he does, and today it really hit me how encouraging his life is to me.
3. I've been thinking about getting a pair of these
shoes. Mainly because I like to engage in any activity that remotely reminds me of flying. Rolling is definitely on the way to flying. I don't know that these shoes would be practical for running, though. So basically, I would be buying them to walk and roll (makes me think of a Chinese restaurant), or I could just invest in some rollerblades. I most likely will not buy these shoes, or rollerblades.3. 4. I love people. I love science. I love art. I love math. I like hospitals. I looked at nursing schools today online. I am thinking through what I'm good at, and how my life can serve the kingdom in a career. I'm really up for anything. Growing up I had desired to be a cardiac surgeon. Surgeons are artists. I'm researching the job of a perioperative nurse. This would be one who has a range of duties from caring for patients before, during, and post surgery, and passing instruments within the sterile field in surgery. I used to go to hospitals a lot in high school to watch surgeries.

i think you'd be an AWESOME nurse!
and definitely don't buy those shoes... 'cause if you do, i'll make fun. sorry... couldn't help it, really.
Such an enthusiastic response. Thank you. It's been on my mind for a couple years actually. So, we'll see. I suppose I'm one of those who never really figures out all that I am to do.
I appreciate your honesty. I just really like the idea of smoothly transitioning from walking to rolling. I think they would make my feet look like nubs, though. Maybe then Elijah Wood would have me.
1. You are a very interesting and fun person.
2. Don't buy those shoes.
3. Why don't people rollerblade anymore? In France everybody rollerblades.
Just read your blog and found it very interesting, as the way you describe things and life...
Anton: Thanks. I will not buy those shoes. I would like to try to rollerblade. I think I would enjoy it.
Guillaume: Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. I hope you enjoy it.
