1. My mom used to stand in the shower and let the water hit her belly when she was pregnant with me. I sometimes think that's why I like rain.

2. I saw the Mavs sodomize the Lakers last week. I got invited to watch the game from a box seat with all the free Dr. Pepper I wanted. I sort of like knowing rich people. Or knowing people that know rich people personally. Or at least smiling when they put money in my little hat.

3. I started reading On the Road by Jack Kerouac. I keep it in my purse so that I can read whenever I have a moment. I'll go ahead and insert an excerpt from the beginning chapter..It is well known, but I love it:
"But then they danced down the streets like dingledodies, and I shambled after as I've been doing all my life after people who interest me, because the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes "Awww!"

4. I love scrambled eggs, cheese, and turkey bacon.

5. I was whistling at work this morning as I made coffee and cleaned up the kitchen. Shortly after I had taken my seat at my desk, my boss walked by as if he were searching for something. I asked him what he was looking for, and we had this exchange:
"The Whistler."
"Oh, sorry, that's me. Was I annoying you?"
"No, no! It was outstanding. You are an excellent whistler. I felt like I was in a Western movie about to ride off on my horse into the sunset."

6. In the past few years, I have visited many cemeteries, often revisiting the same one. I would photograph things as I saw need. I like cemeteries. I like being there alone. I like walking around the tombstones/plots. There is so much in my life that is unknown, but being on the grounds surrounded by silence, reminds me of that which is certain; death. That thought helps me to live.

This is a ridiculously good post. Just enough of your life and just enough of your insights. I did a double-take on the sodomy line, but then I clasped my hands together and shook them over my shoulders like I was in a parade in a Chaplin film.

I second Anton's comments. As for what the Mavs did to the Lakers, it was more of an old school, Hasselhoffian butt-whoopin'. And I'm talkin' Knight Rider Hasselhoff, not the later, wussier Baywatch Hasselhoff. Gold chains, chest hair, and talking hot rods butt-whoopin' Hasselhoff is the one to whom I now refer: the very same Hasselhoff who took on Goliath the monster truck, Kitt's doppelganger, if you will, as well as his own evil twin brother (Hasselhoff with a goattee) and survived.

Everyone - For some reason when I was writing about the game, that word came out first. I stopped after typing it wondering how that came out instead of, "beat" or "killed," etc. And realized that word pretty much stated everything that could be said about the game.
