1. My mom used to stand in the shower and let the water hit her belly when she was pregnant with me. I sometimes think that's why I like rain.
2. I saw the Mavs sodomize the Lakers last week. I got invited to watch the game from a box seat with all the free Dr. Pepper I wanted. I sort of like knowing rich people. Or knowing people that know rich people personally. Or at least smiling when they put money in my little hat.
3. I started reading On the Road by Jack Kerouac. I keep it in my purse so that I can read whenever I have a moment. I'll go ahead and insert an excerpt from the beginning chapter..It is well known, but I love it:
"But then they danced down the streets like dingledodies, and I shambled after as I've been doing all my life after people who interest me, because the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes "Awww!"
4. I love scrambled eggs, cheese, and turkey bacon.
5. I was whistling at work this morning as I made coffee and cleaned up the kitchen. Shortly after I had taken my seat at my desk, my boss walked by as if he were searching for something. I asked him what he was looking for, and we had this exchange:
"The Whistler."
"Oh, sorry, that's me. Was I annoying you?"
"No, no! It was outstanding. You are an excellent whistler. I felt like I was in a Western movie about to ride off on my horse into the sunset."
6. In the past few years, I have visited many cemeteries, often revisiting the same one. I would photograph things as I saw need. I like cemeteries. I like being there alone. I like walking around the tombstones/plots. There is so much in my life that is unknown, but being on the grounds surrounded by silence, reminds me of that which is certain; death. That thought helps me to live.

magnetic words
My brother and sister-in-law got these word magnets for Christmas. They were upset when they realized that was their only gift. Not really. I mean, that was their only gift, but they were not upset. I played with them on the refrigerator and came up with the following phrases/thoughts:
Why these parts cry like wind.
Trudge from here like sleep.
Beneath nearness.
Mist like stareless days.
Void could leave you aching.
Life but only through show.
Smear away the shadows.
Think over the knife in your skin.
Music gown.
Peach whisper.
